The Gift

By Chad Gilman- There’s one more gift under your tree. You can't see it, feel it, or touch it, but it’s there waiting for you to open.  It’s the true gift God gave us on this Christmas Day…it’s the miraculous birth of a Savior. 

This Bible verse may not be one of the typical ones you hear in church on Christmas day, but it prompted me to reflect on the gift God has given us and how to receive it.

Matthew 7:7 states, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

Go to your tree, ask and the gift shall be given to you, seek under the tree and you will find it, knock and the gift will be open…Inside this box is a gift of light, love, mercy, and hope. It doesn’t require AAA batteries, it just requires you to open up your heart to receive this gift, to truly celebrate what this day means.  Merry Christmas!
